Anne H. Sullivan

Associate


Anne Sullivan is an associate with Handler & Levine and has been with the firm since 2006. Anne has assisted a variety of individuals and families in analyzing their personal and financial goals to develop effective estate plans. She has experience drafting estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, general powers of attorney, powers of attorney for health care and living wills. Prior to joining the firm, Anne was a managing partner at the law firm Butcher Sullivan, L.L.C. in Vienna, Virginia, where she represented wireless telecommunications companies before the Federal Communications Commission.

Anne has represented small businesses and publicly traded corporations in general business matters, including: conducting internal compliance audits and due diligence, negotiating agreements, and drafting contracts and asset purchase agreements. Previously, Anne was an associate at the law firms Wilkinson Barker Knauer, L.L.P. and Borsari & Paxson L.P. in Washington, DC. Through these positions, Anne represented nationwide telecommunications carriers and broadcast companies in regulatory and transactional matters. Prior to entering private practice, Anne served as law clerk to the Honorable Patrick L. Woodward, Associate Judge in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.

Education


Anne received her B.S. in Justice and Policy Studies from Guilford College in North Carolina and earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland.


Personal


Anne grew up in Montgomery County and attended high school at Sandy Spring Friends School in Olney, Maryland. She now resides in Hyattsville, Maryland with her husband, Carter, who is an employee of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
