Marc joined the firm's predecessor in 1992 after obtaining his law degree from George Washington University. After developing an active litigation practice early in his career, he has focused on estate planning, probate and business management and counseling. This focus has included basic estate planning, estate planning for government employees, complex planning for wealthy individuals and families, and family business planning.

Marc's work has also included numerous presentations on estate planning and probate. These presentations include pre-retirement seminars on estate planning for the National Institute of Transition Planners, Inc., lectures at Frederick Community College and for the Montgomery County Continuing Education course, and, along with his partner Norman B. Handler, co-teaching the Wills and Estates continuing education course at Montgomery College.

Experience


Marc is a member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia state bars and actively counsels clients on estate planning and probate in all three jurisdictions. Marc is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Register of Attorneys and has received their AV rating, the highest rating available.

Marc has handled cases at all levels of the Maryland and District of Columbia court system, the U.S. District Court system and in the various courts in DC and Virginia.

Education


Marc received his B.S. in print journalism from Boston University and earned his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Personal


Marc is a third generation native Washingtonian, although he grew up in Montgomery County and attended John F. Kennedy High School in Wheaton. He now resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife Susan, a counselor at Takoma Park Middle School, and their three daughters, Shelby, Josie and Ellie.
